Jarad Guynes

Jarad Guynes is the Land Manager for the Rockport family of companies, steering the land department with over 19 years of exceptional experience in land and resource management. He has a distinguished record of leading high-performing teams and optimizing land operations under fast-paced, high-pressure conditions, managing portfolios from 72,000 to 650,000 gross acres. His expertise spans strategic lease and contract negotiations, comprehensive due diligence, dispute resolution, and the efficient management of operational processes across vast acreage, consistently delivering significant value. He excels in analyzing complex data, overseeing multi-rig drilling schedules, driving multimillion-dollar business development, and leveraging advanced technology to boost productivity and quality.

Before joining Rockport, Mr. Guynes excelled at Equinor ASA (formerly Statoil), culminating as Area Land Manager for the Appalachian Basin, where he directed a large team to oversee 650,000 gross acres and achieved a $5 million annual cost reduction through streamlined efficiencies for the operated assets. As Principal Landman – Lead for the Eagle Ford Shale Asset, he managed operations across 72,000 gross acres, spearheading asset-led business development initiatives that generated $80 million in net value while mentoring landmen and shaping strategic outcomes. Earlier, as a Senior Landman, he coordinated operated and non-operated development plans across 80,000 acres in Ohio and West Virginia, mastering title resolution and landowner negotiations. His career began at Chesapeake Energy, where he played a key role in managing multi-rig drilling schedules and securing critical lease terms in the Haynesville and Marcellus Shales.

Mr. Guynes holds a B.S. in Business from St. Gregory’s University, where he earned Dean’s List honors and captained the soccer team, reflecting his disciplined leadership both academically and athletically.
